We offer 5 x FREE samples, per customer, pre order and no limit on chargeable samples.

Samples should be ordered on their own and therefore separate to any length of fabric. This will allow samples to be processed the most efficiently and will avoid delaying your whole order.

Why order a fabric sample?

At funki fabrics we understand the importance of seeing and touching a fabric sample to help you decide whether it meets your requirements. Whilst we try to include on our website a thorough product description, technical properties and a variety of images, we recognize that there is no substitute for holding and stretching a fabric yourself. Your own sample will allow you to assess its weight, quality and performance, so that you can establish whether it will work for your specific project.

Furthermore, you'll see with your own eyes the true colour(s) and be confident in your choice. Where an exact colour match is particularly important then a sample is absolutely essential.

At Funki Fabrics we continually invest in our photographic technology and sophisticated digital cad software. It is our priority that the images we use on our site are of the best quality and offer a realistic interpretation of each fabric. However, we cannot control each customer's browsing environment. Potentially each device used to browse our site could be configured differently and this could impact the visual output. Therefore quality and colours could be affected. To safeguard yourself we advise you to order a sample of your chosen fabric in advance of placing your order for actual metres.

How much are samples?

Most of our samples are free, however for fabrics that are made to order a small charge will apply.

To allow us to offer this service and manage our costs, we must limit the number of free samples we offer to each customer to 5, pre order.

Our customer service team are on hand to help you decide which fabric Samples might suit your requirements, therefore if you are finding it difficult to choose by yourself then please contact us and take advantage of their advice. Employees of funkifabrics cannot advise you on how much fabric is required for your individual project.

Due to increasing shipping costs, a charge is made for the postage of samples.

Can I pay for extra samples?

If you require more than 5 x free samples these are available for a small charge. Please order our Sample Bundle product with a quantity to cover your requirements and email your list of fabrics to sales@funkifabrics.com.

How quickly will I receive my samples?

Sample orders are typically despatched within 1-3 working days. In busy periods and usually after public holidays this may be extended slightly.

How and when are samples sent?

Sample orders are sent by first class Royal Mail or by another Royal Mail service for our international clients. When samples are ordered at the same time as a length of fabric (0.50mtrs +), the samples will be sent with the order. This may cause your order to be slightly delayed and we therefore suggest that samples are ordered on their own, to arrive the most efficiently.

Please appreciate we do not send samples on a tracked postage service; this is to control the cost to our customers. If this is required, please contact us for a bespoke solution.

What size are samples?

Samples are not a uniform size. They are approximately at least 10cm square and most prints are approximately 15cm square. We are confident that the size of our samples is sufficient for our customers to assess.

What are print collection sample sheets?

We regularly release new prints which we package and present as collections throughout the year. Each collection consists of between 30 and 50 designs so to make it more convenient for customers to sample these new products, we print all designs per collection together on a single piece of fabric. The solution provides customers with a more transportable product to share or use as a reference too.
